DJ Spoki, real name Lungelo Chamane is a multifaceted music Producer and DJ that hails from Adams Mission in Durban South Africa. The Durban born Producer is an all-rounder when it comes to DJing and producing as he is not boxed to one specific genre of music. His live sets and productions do specialize in certain sub-genres of House music such as: Deep Tech, Afro House,Soulful House, Gqom and Amapiano.



Spoki's love for music began at an early age when he was living with his grandmother who was a Music Composer and Conductor for the church choir and band. Every afternoon except Sundays, used to be choir or band practice where DJ Spoki would practice along and play with the instruments afterwards. Managing a choir in the family meant attending a lot of choir festivals for the then young aspiring musician which is how he ultimately fell in love with music.


The journey to becoming a DJ began at the age of 13 (2003).He gained a lot of skill and extensive experience from his mentor and friend DJ Solo, who was a beat mixing lecturer at Chilli Soul at that time. From age 16 (2006) the aspiring DJ began playing at Clubs in South Beach namely: Chemistry, Chilli and Coffee Brown, this gave him glimpse of what the future held as a professional DJ. Spoki has played in many Clubs and events around South Africa.

As a Producer the Adams Mission native regards himself as versatile since he likes experimenting with different genre%u2019s and sometimes fuse them together.


Beside House music Spoki also produces: Hip-Hop, RnB, Jazz, and EDM. DJ Spoki is slowly making his mark as a respected producer as he has worked with a number of up & coming artists including: Deep Sound Crew,Soh, Choc Deep, Dog G, Thubza Keys,Clinton X, T-Munny, Ma %u2013 V, Twinny T, Wing BRM , DJ Solo,Zuka,Beezori,Bucks & Dulas, Izinkwezeli just to name a few
